John 15:4-5 Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me."Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing. (NLT)
Breakthrough starts in our relationship with Jesus. Remaining in Jesus speaks of being close and connected. This closeness is the source of true fruitfulness. Our desire for breakthrough needs to be superseded by our desire for Jesus.
During the next 14 days, let your pursuit be first and foremost for Him. Let you prayer be like the Psalmist who cried out, “As the deer longs for streams of water, so I long for you, O God.” And he will respond. James 4 says, “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.”
Prayers will be prayed and declarations will be made. Miracles will come and breakthroughs will be celebrated. But the starting point is Jesus!
