Blog Post Title One
This past week, a team of 36 people - a beautiful mix of staff, iSEE College students, church members, and iSEE Worship team - returned from a life-changing outreach mission in Papua New Guinea. Partnering with Believe in PNG, we embarked on a journey to share the Gospel and the love of Christ with communities across the nation.
Our journey took us into the heart of various communities, touching countless lives. We ministered in 7 primary schools, 5 secondary colleges, and 2 universities, sharing messages of hope with the next generation. We also brought comfort and prayer to 2 hospitals, and connected with the community in the bustling marketplaces of Kokopo and Rabaul. We joined and served in 4 churches, building fellowship and sharing our faith.
The evenings were filled with powerful Nights of Celebration, where the local community gathered to worship and hear a message of hope. The estimated attendance grew each night, a testament to the hunger for faith: 500 on Friday, 1,200 on Saturday, and an incredible 2,500 on Sunday. The collective response was overwhelming, with approx 125 individuals making a recorded decision for salvation.
Beyond the numbers, it was the personal stories that truly marked this trip. Our volunteer, Chloe, shared a powerful encounter in the marketplace:
"I talked to a lady and asked if she wanted to pray. She was unsure but then said yes. She mentioned she had a torn ligament in her knee. After we prayed, I asked if she could do something she couldn’t do before. She hopped on that leg and said she couldn't have done that before. Then she asked me to pray for her family. As we prayed, tears fell down her face. She said she could feel the love."
This is the very essence of why we do what we do - to see lives touched, to bring healing, and to show people the tangible love of Christ.
We are so grateful to every team member who dedicated their time and heart, to Believe in PNG for their partnership, and to the people of Papua New Guinea for welcoming us with open arms. This was more than a mission trip; it was a profound testament to faith, a beautiful display of God's power, and an experience that has forever changed us.
