Small Gifts, Big Impact: Food Hampers Changing Lives

“Seeing these kids turn up to school with a full lunchbox and a smile on their face is such a blessing.”

For the past couple of years, iSEE Church Brisbane West has been partnering with Jamboree Heights State School and their school chaplain to provide food hampers for families in the school community who are going through difficult times.

A collection point is set up in the church foyer, allowing our church family to regularly bring in non-perishable food items. These donations are then packed into hampers and given to the school chaplain, who distributes them to families in need.

Recently, these hampers were able to bless two single-parent families facing significant health and financial challenges. Because of the support, their children were able to come to school with full lunchboxes, and the parents experienced relief from the stress of finding food for dinner each night.

The school chaplain and principal have expressed deep gratitude for the positive impact these hampers have had on the students’ lives.

This partnership is a powerful reminder that when we, as a church community, each play our small part—like bringing a few grocery items—we can make a big difference in people’s lives.
